Shandong Charing Industry Co., Ltd., a construction chemical additives manufacturer in Shandong, China, mainly focuses on cellulose ethers (HPMC/MHEC/HEC), polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) flakes and powders, and redispersible polymer powder (RDP) — manufacturing and supplying construction chemical additives to customers worldwide.

Our Brand — Why "Charing"

Our English name comes from No. 84, Charing Cross Road — the true story of a twenty-year correspondence between a reader in New York and a bookseller in London. Two people who never met, separated by an ocean, who built one of the most trusted relationships in the story of books. No contracts held it together. Trust, once earned, carried everything. That is the spirit this company was named for.

Our Chinese name says the same thing from another direction. Changling (长林) — a long forest. Trees take years to grow; a forest takes decades. You plant one tree at a time, year after year, and one day the forest stands around you. Long time effort makes trees into forest.

We have registered the Charing brand, and we intend to build it the same way — batch by batch, customer by customer, year after year. The foundations are right: China's supply of quality raw materials for this industry, a team that knows it from the inside, and a simple principle of integrity — we quote honestly, we deliver what we promised, and we stand behind every batch. Our long-term goal is a name that dry-mortar and concrete producers around the world know and trust: a world-recognized brand in construction additives, built in China. There is no shortcut in this business. So we have chosen to do one thing and do it well, for as long as it takes.

Charing's people come from the production side of China's construction chemicals industry. Our specialists each bring more than a decade of hands-on experience inside the plants themselves — on production lines, in quality labs, and alongside process engineers across the Shandong cluster. This is not knowledge learned from brochures. It was formed inside the plants, and it is what we use every day to specify, verify, and stand behind every product we ship.

Day to day, this expertise means we track the raw materials that drive pricing — cotton linter pulp, chloromethane, and propylene oxide for cellulose ethers; EPEG/HPEG monomers for PCE; VAE emulsion and PVA for redispersible polymer powders — so our quotations always reflect real market movements. We know the process differences that actually matter: bulk (solvent-free) polymerization versus aqueous for PCE flakes, spray-dried powder versus flake-milled powder, and HPMC gel temperature grades for different climates. And standing inside the industry, we know the wider landscape: which producers run which processes, at what scale, and at what cost level. Beyond that, we follow both international and domestic producers — their strengths, weaknesses, and positioning — and we work daily with the downstream applications themselves: tile adhesives (C0/C1/C2), self-leveling compounds, waterproofing mortars, EIFS systems, and concrete admixture formulations.
